The Subaru Outback and STARLINK™ technology

The Subaru Outback hardly needs an introduction, especially with the Huntington Beach shoppers we serve. This wagon has been a fan-favorite across the country and we regularly blog about it. Check out the Outback posts to get yourself up to speed if you're new to the brand or looking to upgrade a decade old Outback!

Today we want to get specific and focus on one facet: Subaru STARLINK™ multimedia. This system is on all 2018 Subaru Outback trims.

STARLINK™ is the infotainment program that Subaru developed and is displayed on a responsive and easy to use touchscreen. At the base level, you'll find apps for radio, settings, and there's Bluetooth connectivity so you can stream your own songs and take calls.

If you have the right smartphone you can take STARLINK™ a step further thanks to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integrations. Once paired, you'll be greeted by familiar icons, which makes the learning curve practically nonexistent.

STARLINK™ on the base trim won't disappoint, but if you want a little extra on the next trim the touchscreen goes from 6.5 to 8-inches and you get voice command. TomTom navigation can be added on the higher levels as well.

Drivers that want added peace of mind behind the wheel can also get the STARLINK™ Safety and Security package, and that also starts right above the base trim. It provides roadside assistance, automatic collision response, diagnostic alerts, and more.

For more information on these and other technologies available on the 2018 Subaru Outback, contact us today or swing into our showroom.
