Subaru of America, Inc., along with the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), have been awarded the 2020 Silver Halo Award in the ‘Best Sustainability Initiative’ category by Engage for Good. Subaru and NPCA were recognized for the Don’t Feed the Landfills initiative, an environmentally-focused campaign dedicated to preserving national parks.

Subaru of America has worked with NPCA and the National Park Foundation (NPF) toward a shared goal of reducing landfill waste in America’s national parks, since 2015.

Subaru of America, Inc. will be sponsoring NBC and Universal Television’s all-original “A Parks and Recreation Special,” a charitable telecast set to air Thursday, April 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, and will match consumer donations up to $150,000 to benefit Feeding America®’s COVID-19 Response Fund. This sponsorship follows Subaru of America’s partnership with Feeding America to help provide 50 million meals*.

The 2020 Subaru Impreza has been named to the PARENTS Best Cars for Teen Drivers list. PARENTS made its decision based on the Impreza Sedan and 5-Door receiving a 5-star overall crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), plus the model’s advanced safety features, standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and proven durability.

On November 16, 2019, Timmons Subaru partnered with Science teachers at Hughes Middle School to participate in a special event known as Green Summit where support staff, students, and their parents were educated on sustainability efforts and the environmentally-friendly approach to reduce, reuse and recycle materials each and every day.
